Little Blood Suckers

Today Joel, Diana, Kate, and I went on an 8 mile hike on the 20 Lakes trail. The trail wasn't so good--it was really rocky and there were lots of snow passes and our biggest problem was...mosquitos. Those little suckers! We all had on deet and *still* got attacked on all of the teency places we missed. For instance, behind the ears, right in front of the arm pits, and the back of our necks. I choked on one on te trail and I think I have about 15 bites on my right shoulder blade alone. Deet, however, does do its job. As evidenced by:

All of the sqeeters dissolved and stuck to my leg on impact! It was awesome and gross. Kind of like the windshield of a car.

This is Kate, Diana, and I (in a less mosquito-populated place)

Me and Katie

The hike wasn't too strenuous or long, but we are all so worn out! It must just be the sun. Speaking of, now I am so red I'm almost purple. :/ On the way back to EP, we stopped to pick up a hitchiker and, as it turns out, he lives right down the street from us and he plays soccer at the school with a group of people every Sunday evening! I'm excited to get in on some of that action.
I guess that's all for now! Adios.
